Personal statement
After graduating with a BA from Strathclyde University I worked for The Scottish Film Council producing and editing educational resources from Scottish Film Archive material, before moving on to work for Paramount/Universal Pictures for over 10 years.
After completing a MSc in Web Development in 2000 I started work as a commercial web designer for the Zen Agency in Glasgow and in the years that followed worked on sites and training materials for numerous blue chip clients including Diaggio the Royal Air Force and Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
I joined the Law School’s Learning Technologies Development Unit in 2003 and was part of a team developing new and innovative approaches to implementing both blended and simulation based learning. During this period I also studied a Fine Art Photography course at Glasgow School of Art.
I currently manage the HaSS IT Development Team for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The Development Team consists of developers, video production specialists and learning technologists to provide a range of services to faculty staff including, but not limited to, Instructional design, digital content creation, research and KE sites, Sharepoint support, bespoke web/graphic design, video production and training.
I have worked as a consultant for among others, University of London, Northumbria University, Lexis Nexis and leading law firms.
In my spare time I am a keen photographer/graphic designer and have been published in various books, papers and look books. Clients included The Scotsman, The Sun, Totty Rocks, Obscure Couture, Scottish International Piano Competition, Polaroid, TicKL Magazine, Posed Magazine.
